Amazon Mexico Seller Fees (2026): A Subscription That Scales

By the Profitvana Editorial Team · Updated August 2026

Amazon Mexico does something no other Amazon marketplace we cover does: the monthly subscription depends on how much you sell. Below MXN 26,000 a month it is MXN 75; above it, MXN 600. For a new seller that is unusually forgiving — and it creates a threshold worth understanding before you cross it.

A subscription that scales with your sales

Amazon Mexico waives the monthly fee entirely for the first year. After that, the professional plan costs MXN 75 a month for sellers under MXN 26,000 in monthly sales, and MXN 600 a month for those above it.

The jump is eightfold, and it lands at a revenue level many small sellers pass through rather than settle at. In percentage terms it is still modest — MXN 600 on MXN 26,000 of sales is 2.3%, falling as you grow — but it is a real step, not a gradient.

The first-year waiver is the more useful part: it removes fixed cost from exactly the period when a new seller has no idea whether the channel works.

Referral fees

The referral fee is a percentage of the total the customer pays, with a minimum of MXN 8.00 across nearly all categories.

Electronics and office supplies at 10% are the notable low end — lower than the 15% those categories often attract elsewhere in Latin America.

The MXN 8 floor and the toy threshold

Two details reshape low-price selling here. The MXN 8.00 minimum means a MXN 40 item in a 15% category pays MXN 8 rather than MXN 6 — an effective 20%.

And toys jump from 8% to 15% at MXN 300: a MXN 299 toy pays MXN 23.92, while a MXN 310 one pays MXN 46.50. You would need to price at about MXN 327 to net what MXN 299 already returned.

Whenever a category has a threshold, the money is usually in staying just under it rather than just over.

Getting paid

Fees are one side; settlement is the other. For Mexican sellers taking payment outside Amazon as well, Stripe charges 3.6% + MXN 3.00 and PayPal 3.95% + MXN 4.00 domestically — and PayPal's 3.50% conversion spread is where most cross-border money leaks.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Amazon Mexico take per sale?

What is the monthly fee to sell on Amazon Mexico?

Nothing for the first year. After that it is MXN 75 a month for sellers under MXN 26,000 in monthly sales, and MXN 600 a month for those above that threshold.

Why did my toy category fee nearly double?

Toys and games are tiered at MXN 300: 8% at or below, 15% above. A MXN 310 toy pays MXN 46.50 where a MXN 299 one pays MXN 23.92, so you would need about MXN 327 to net the same.
