How Vinted fees work
Vinted is unusual: sellers pay no selling fee and no payment-processing fee. Instead, buyers pay a separate Buyer Protection fee on top of the item price, so you keep the full amount the buyer pays for the item.

Why Vinted can charge sellers nothing
Vinted moved its entire fee to the buyer's side: every purchase carries a Buyer Protection fee — in the US about 5% of the item price plus $0.70, with similar structures in the UK (3–8% plus a fixed 30–80p depending on price) and Europe — and that fee funds the platform, the payment processing and the refund guarantee. The seller receives the full item price. The consequence is that the price a buyer sees is higher than the price you set, so Vinted sellers compete on the buyer's total, not on their own price: a $20 listing costs the buyer about $21.70 before shipping.
Shipping is paid by the buyer through Vinted's prepaid labels (USPS, UPS and others in the US), chosen at checkout; the seller prints the label and ships. Sellers can also list bundles and let buyers combine items for one shipping fee.
What Vinted does charge
Optional promotion is the only seller-side cost: 'Bump' raises a listing in search for a few days for a fee of about $1–2 that scales with the item price, and 'Wardrobe Spotlight' promotes your whole closet for about a week. Vinted also offers a Vinted Pro programme for professional sellers in some European countries, which carries different terms and legal obligations because business sellers must honour consumer-rights returns.
Payouts go to a Vinted Balance after the buyer confirms receipt (or two days after delivery), and withdrawing to a bank account is free. There is no currency conversion because each Vinted market is a separate site in its own currency, which is also why a seller in one country cannot ship to buyers in most others.
How Vinted compares
On fees Vinted is the cheapest clothing marketplace in every market it operates in: zero against Depop's 3.3% + $0.45 for US sellers, Mercari's 10% and Poshmark's 20%. The trade-off is audience and price level — Vinted's buyers are bargain-focused and its US presence is newer and smaller than in Europe, where it is the dominant secondhand-fashion app. Sellers moving premium items often list on Vinted for volume and on Poshmark or Depop for price.

No. Each Vinted site serves one country or region, and sellers need an address and payout account in a supported market. The US, UK, most of the EU and Canada are supported.
