Poshmark vs Mercari vs Depop: Reseller Fees Compared (2026)
By the Profitvana Editorial Team · Updated May 2026
Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop are top apps for reselling clothing and secondhand goods — but their 2026 fees are very different.
Poshmark
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15, or 20% on sales of $15 and up. There is no separate payment-processing fee, and the buyer pays shipping. The 20% is high, but the buyer covers shipping.
Mercari
Mercari charges sellers a 10% selling fee on the item plus buyer-paid shipping, with no separate payment-processing fee (buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee). That makes it noticeably cheaper than Poshmark on most items.
Depop
For US sellers, Depop removed its 10% selling fee in 2024 — you now pay only payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45. That makes Depop the cheapest of the three for US sellers.
Which is cheapest?
For US sellers in 2026, Depop (≈3.3% + $0.45) is cheapest, Mercari (10%) is mid, and Poshmark (20% or $2.95) is highest — though Poshmark's buyer-paid shipping and active community can still make it worthwhile. Compare your exact numbers in the calculators below.
