Etsy Fees Explained (2026): Every Charge, Clearly

By the Profitvana Editorial Team · Updated May 2026

Etsy does not charge one simple fee — it stacks several. Here is every charge a seller faces in 2026 and what they typically add up to.

Listing fee — $0.20

You pay $0.20 to publish a listing, and it renews automatically (another $0.20) each time the item sells or after four months. Quantity listings renew per sale.

Transaction fee — 6.5%

Etsy takes 6.5% of the total a buyer pays, including the shipping and gift-wrap you charge. This is the largest standard fee for most sellers.

Payment processing — ~3% + $0.25

In the US, Etsy Payments charges about 3% + $0.25 per order; rates differ by country. Together with the transaction and listing fees, most sellers pay roughly 10–11% of the sale.

Offsite Ads — 12% or 15% (sometimes)

If Etsy advertises your listing off-site and it leads to a sale, it charges 12% (or 15% for higher-revenue shops). Shops under a revenue threshold can opt out; larger shops cannot. This only applies to attributed sales, but it can be your biggest fee when it hits.
